As tension increases between India and Pakistan after the Uri attack carried by terrorists from Pakistan and in retaliation to the attacks India carried out surgical strikes in LOC to dismantle terrorist launch pads, it is now highly anticipated that both nations can go on a war anytime.
Both nations are highly nuclear capable and have an ability to cause mass destruction to each other.
Pakistan has always threatened India about a nuclear attack. India is a responsible state has always deterred from any talks about a nuclear attack on Pakistan.

ViralCrab team has gathered some stats from various sources, if both the countries opt for nuclear war, what could be the consequences.

In history the world's first nuclear weapons explosion was done on July 16, 1945, in New Mexico, when the United States tested its first nuclear bomb.
Three weeks later, on August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. It killed or wounded nearly 130,000 people. Three days later, the United States bombed Nagasaki. Nearly 286,00 people were living there at the time of the blast, 74,000 were killed and another 75,000 sustained severe injuries. After the nuclear bombings, Japan agreed to an unconditional surrender on August 14, 1945 and also resulted in the end of World War II. This also made Japan the only country ever to be attacked by nuclear weapons.
According to a new report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), nine nations — the United States, Russia, United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea — possess approximately 16,300 nuclear weapons. in total.

As per the projections, made by researchers from three universities of US, namely Rutgers University, University of Colorado-Boulder and University of California, Los Angeles in 2007.
If India and Pakistan fought a war detonating 100 nuclear warheads (around half of their combined arsenal), each equivalent to a 15-kiloton Hiroshima bomb, more than 21 million people will be directly killed, about half the world’s protective ozone layer would be destroyed, and a “nuclear winter” would cripple the monsoons and agriculture worldwide.

The real costs would be higher and not just in India and Pakistan, where the first 21 million people–half the death toll of World War II–would perish within the first week from blast effects, burns and acute radiation.
This death toll would be 2,221 times the number of civilians and security forces killed by terrorists in India over nine years to 2015, according to an IndiaSpend analysis of South Asia Terrorism Portal data.
Another two billion people worldwide would face the risks of severe starvation due to the climatic effects of the nuclear-weapon use in the subcontinent, according to this 2013 assessment by the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, a global federation of physicians.

From the above stats, one thing is for sure that if both nations go tonuclear war, it will not just be the two countries that will suffer but it will be a global catastrophe.
